  I have two Access up and over doors, both fitted by this branch and repaired/replaced at considerable expense over the past twenty years or so. No complaints, but this time a new Hormann Promatic operator (note the make! )failed after only 3 months with the door closed and car inside. I requested and agreed to pay for a new emergency manual opening lock,the existing one never having been used and keys lost, but to open and close the door regularly while waiting for a new operator, a new key lock was fitted at sensible suggestion of the fitter - the necessary wiring was already installed, though never previously used. The branch management meanly and quite unreasonably charged me an extra £30 odd for the key switch, without which the garage would realistically be out of action until the new operator was fitted in several weeks time.
  It is not the sum of money that I object to, it is the poor customer relations attitude of the management, in a situation of their costly products early failure, towards a long standing customer. For the sake of a trivial sum they have switched me off from ever using their services/products again if I can find anywhere else when I need work done on any of my garage doors. You need to sort out or re-train your management at the New Malden Branch!!
